Bluebird Coffee Shop NYC
Now that I have actively started planning my return to the land of the free, I have already started to collate a list of places that I can't wait to go back to. Most of these places have something to do with two things: baked goods and coffee.
On my first trip to the US, I had a really rough time finding a great cup of coffee. Not a decent one - a great one. I spent too much money experimenting with the menu at Starbucks only to be disappointed every single time, thanks to the overly sweetened vanilla soy milk they use. It only took tens of thousands of dollars spent on flights and accommodation funding 10 trips in 8 years to finally find the perfect cup. I can count on one hand my favourite cafes to get my daily dose, and Bluebird Coffee Shop in New York City is one of them.
Tucked away in New York City's East Village, this quaint coffee shopΒ is home to some of the best coffee available on the East Coast. Stunning sunlight pours in through open windows, and perfectly poured lattes lure in those like me, who seek a space to satiate the mid morning coffee ritual.
I didn't get the opportunity to try the house-baked chocolate chip cookies. So this alone warrants a trip back to the Big Apple.
July, you're still so far away...
