Mad Pizza E Bar Newtown

One of the best things about living in Marrickville, is being so close to Newtown. One of the best things about living so close to Newtown, is the access to awesome late night bites. Over the past week, I've spent a little time catching up my cousin Chris. Back in our prime, we used to hang out every other night, take late night drives to anywhere, and somehow we always ended up in Newtown.

Last Thursday, Chris and I went out for a late night bite and ended up in our familiar King Street stomping grounds. We agreed it was only right to stop in at Mad Pizza E Bar, a place Chris introduced Kevin and I to a few years back. Deciding what to eat was pretty simple: our favourite pizza on the menu, the Funghi (fat field mushrooms, rosemary, feta and rocket leaves with shaved parmesan and olive oil.) With a paper thin crispy base and light but wholesome toppings, this pizza makes me feel a lot less guilty for the late night indulgence. Paired with street seating and perfect weather, I channeled my inner 19 year old and forgot that I had a care in the world.
