Paesanella Food Emporium Marrickville

Ricotta has always been a staple in my kitchen. I use it for sweet and savoury breakfasts, salad, pizza and pasta toppers, not to mention awesome Italian cheesecakes. I recently discovered that one of my preferred brands of ricotta have set up a retail shop only 2 minutes from my place in Marrickville. And not just any shop. Paesanella Food Emporium is home to local and imported deli goods, Italian wood fired bread, awesome pastas, sauces, and an impressive range of cheeses displayed in a walk in cool room.

The café on the ground level of the emporium is the icing on the cake. As a curious local, I stopped in for a quick coffee and to take a look at what’s on offer in the grocery department. I was thoroughly inspired – there were so many beautiful ingredients that I know I’ll be back for. Though my visit was short, the coffee was great and the service, excellent. Exactly what I’ve come to expect from local café owners in Marrickville – warm, friendly and welcoming.
