#PSSGather - Sweet Gratitude
Since re-launching Project Sweet Stuff in October of 2013, we here at PSS HQ have had the opportunity to experience some pretty amazing things. We have been invited to visit stunning destinations in far away places. We have had many special packages delivered to our door. From sweetly wrapped gifts to emailed airline tickets, these unique opportunities have opened so many doors. Our love of writing about life’s sweetest moments has multiplied…and because of this, so has our audience. We have something in common with you, our wonderful readers… we know that it’s a great big world out there, and we are happy to discover it one sweet bite at a time.
Yesterday, Project Sweet Stuff hosted an afternoon tea at the new and much talked about establishment, The Pig & Pastry in Sydney’s Petersham. In an intimate gathering of about 25, we enjoyed charcuterie platters with freshly baked sourdough, and finished on a sweet note; scones with all the trimmings, carrot cake, and the best chocolate cake that was ever baked into sweet reality. Upon arrival, our guests received a travel bag tag with name cards hand written by the talented Sid Tapia. The wonderful Faye Cahill whipped up delightful cakes in jars especially for the event, and Maddy from Luke Avenue Cookies supplied us with one for the road. Shayben worked his magic with the camera while Andrew Lowden strummed us away to mellow acoustic heaven. But why all the sweet stuff?
We wanted to hold a little something to thank the brands and individuals who have backed us right from the start. Especially to thank those who have provided the opportunities that have encouraged us along our journey into the heart of the sweet life. It is because of these opportunities that we have the freedom to experience a bright new sense of discovery and joy for all the sweetness that already surrounds us.
For this, we are very grateful.
