Eat & Keep Christmas
For the past few years, I’ve made my gift giving practices a little more considered and heartfelt. I make mental notes during conversations with family and friends so that when it comes to birthdays and Christmas, I’m not buying random gift sets that are likely to be returned or re-gifted. I’ve always been a fan of personalised gifts, so this year I kept a theme in mind - edible, or heirloom. In other words, I’m choosing to give gifts that will either be eaten or enjoyed with family, or kept for many many years to come. Below is a little wrap up of my seasonal suggestions. Some are delicious, some look incredible, and some are both!
I’ve been working with this brand for a few years and I’ve always loved their attention to detail and high quality products. From tree decor to personalised serving boards and gift tags, you can basically personalise anything in their shop. The crew at Little Event Boutique and Little Interiors are offering a 15% discount for Christmas until the 15th of December when you use the code SWEETSTUFF …happy gifting!

Here’s the thing about Crumb & Cookie. It’s a passion project. The artist behind this project is a dear friend of mine, and someone who has been a rock during some of my most challenging experiences. Simona is not formally in business nor does she pretend she’s running an insta cookie empire… but she’s insanely gifted, and crazy generous with her talent. You can find her on instagram and if you realllllly want something special, drop her a line. You won’t be disappointed.

My love affair with TK Maxx goes back to one of my many trips to the US when I was 19 years old. I loved shopping here so much that I would need to purchase an extra suitcase (or two) to fit all the homewares that I would never be able to find at home. You can only imagine my excitement when TK Maxx launched in Australia only a couple of years ago. During a recent visit, I picked up some gorgeous Christmas items to gift my niece with (kind of a little house warming before she ties the knot in 2020)… You’d be very surprised at how far $100 will take you at TK Maxx, especially on designer homeware pieces. Unfortunately you can’t shop online as most of these items are not bulk stocked, but half the fun is the treasure hunt. Most definitely worth a visit this week!
I was recently talking to a friend of mine about making a conscious decision to wear smaller, dainty and delicate pieces of jewellery. I recalled memories of my late Aunt Marie wearing these thin and beautiful rings that she passed down to my mum. We agreed that these were the timeless styles that we loved most.
Michael Hill is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for pretty pieces that wont date any time soon. My favourites are the thin stackable diamond rings because they are perfect for every day as well as stacked with dress rings.
