I love LOVE.
Yep I said it shamelessly, and so what?! And to clarify, I'm not talking about the corny cheesy kind, of course - but the thoughtful fuzzy type. It's always those little loving gestures that touch a part of my heart that barely anyone taps into.
This kind of love doesn't necessarily have to come from a 'life partner'. So when Valentine's Day popped up last Friday night, my best friend Kathy decided to organise a night out to celebrate real, great friendship. Happy to forego the 45 date requests we collectively had, she suggested we book tickets to the Moonlight Cinemas, and that we did!
Breakfast at Tiffany's was the scheduled film on show for the night. Sunken into our beanbags while sipping on moscato, we admired film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn, while nibbling on the essential movie snacks, popcorn and Maltesers. There was something so surreal and soothing about being under the stars with what looked like fireflies floating in the atmosphere. And to know that we were joined by hundreds of people gathered in the same place to acknowledge their love, friendships and marriages... well, there's that fuzzy type of love right there!
